Jan Bartelsman works as a photographer specialized in books on food, wine, chefs, restaurants and hotels. A notable few are Magic in the Kitchen published by Artisan 2001, featuring some of the best chefs in the United States and Le Domaine de la Romanee-Conti published by Lannoo 2005, showcasing the world's most renowned Burgundy wine.
